Product-specific Warranty

At GoRugged we will always work hard to solve any problem you might have with any of our products. Please see product specific warranty under each product's terms and conditions.

Defective and broken Products

We do our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of high quality. If you’ve received a product with a defect or fault, we’ll gladly replace the product for you. Where a replacement product is not available, your account will be credited. This is subject to the manufacturer or its official distributing agent determining that the fault can be remedied and honoured under the terms of the warranty, if not then the costs for the collection and return of the product will be for your account.


Under no circumstances will GoRugged be liable for any damage arising from any misuse or abuse of goods.


Faulty products are to be returned to GoRugged for assessment before continuing with the warranty process.

Unwanted goods

Unwanted Goods may be returned for a refund within 7 days from having received your order on condition that all returned goods are returned in their original packaging, along with all the original contents.  Delivery fees will not be refunded and the cost of returning the goods will be for your account.


All trademarks are the property of its legal owner and are used on this product solely to indicate the intended purpose of the product. The proprietors and distributors of GoRugged products accept no liability whatsoever for any damages whatsoever arising out of, resulting from, or any way connected to the use of the product.

The warranty does not cover the following:

  1. Cracked and broken screens / LCD's
  2. Periodic checks, maintenance, repair and replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear, corrosion, spillage of any material on the product.
  3. Abuse or misuse, including but not solely limited to the failure to use this product for its normal purposes or in accordance with GoRugged's instructions on usage and maintenance. Defects resulting from usage of the product in conjunction with accessories that are not approved by GoRugged for use with product.
  4. Failure of the product arising from incorrect use not consistent with the instructions and technical or safety standards prescribed in the product user manual.
  5. Accidents, Acts of God, lightning, water, fire, deliberate force/violence of any kind, improper ventilation, voltage fluctuations or any cause beyond the control of GoRugged.
  6. Unauthorised modifications carried out to the product in order to comply with local or international technical standards in countries for which this GoRugged product was not originally designed.
  7. Damage of the battery caused by overcharging or failure to use in accordance with the specific instructions outlined in the product user manual. The serial no. on the product has been altered, deleted, removed or made illegible.
  8. The batteries are charged by chargers other than those approved by GoRugged. Generic Batteries/Accessories –
  9. The use of generic batteries, chargers and accessories will render the warranty on any product void.
  10. Any of the seals or waterproof caps on the device / battery enclosure or cells are broken or show evidence of tampering.
  11. Your warranty will be voided if your device is damaged. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Physical damage and/or misuse or abuse (Such as a cracked/damaged LCD), liquid damage, repairs and/or product modifications and alterations that have been executed by unauthorised third parties;
    • Modifying the exterior of the device by gluing, pasting or sticking ‘decorative’ images on the device can void the warranty if such attachments impact the interior mechanics of the device. Such attachments can also influence the strength of your network connectivity on the device;
    • The downloading of illegal software, alteration of the IMEI number on your device, whether it has been deleted, removed or made illegible, or if the internal data of your device doesn’t comply with the proof of purchase;
    • Failing to properly follow the installation process and instructions for use, or if you use products or accessories that aren’t compatible with your device – such as generic accessories and other contaminated auxiliary devices.
  12. When any evidence exists that the device was opened in order to access, investigate, repair and/or attempt to repair the device without the knowledge or written consent from GoRugged.

When does the 12-Month warranty start?

The warranty period begins from the date of purchase as specified on the order invoice. The period is exactly 365 days from that time. For example, a product on the 365th day is covered, but a product on the 366th is no longer covered.

What does GoRugged's warranty imply?

All products bought from GoRugged come with a standard 1-year manufacturer warranty unless specified otherwise on the product page;

As a wholesaler, GoRugged can only offer problem-solving for faulty products which either shipped in an unsatisfactory condition or developed internal faults naturally during usage without issues of physical damage or unsupported usage.

In other words, if the product is broken you can contact us to send it back for a repair.

All batteries in any device come with a standard 6-month manufacturer warranty

All watches come within a 6-month manufacturing warranty – we do not repair any watches

All accessories come with a 3 month manufacturing warranty – we do not repair any accessories.

Replacement units will carry initial warranty and no extended warranty/ from initial purchase date

How is my warranty voided?

Your warranty will be voided if your device is damaged. This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Physical damage and/or misuse or abuse (Such as a cracked/damaged LCD), liquid damage, repairs and/or product modifications and alterations that have been executed by unauthorised third parties;
    Electrical surge damage is not covered under the manufacturing warranty unless a product explicitly states that this is covered for electrical surges;
  2. Modifying the exterior of the device by glueing, pasting or sticking ‘decorative’ images on the device can void the warranty if such attachments impact the interior mechanics of the device. Such attachments can also influence the strength of your network connectivity on the device;
  3. The downloading of illegal software, alteration of the IMEI number on your device, whether it has been deleted, removed or made illegible, or if the internal data of your device doesn’t comply with the proof of purchase;
  4. Failing to properly follow the installation process and instructions for use, or if you use products or accessories that aren’t compatible with your device – such as generic accessories and other contaminated auxiliary devices.

What is the repair process?

Repairs usually take no longer than 7-10 business days from arrival. The repair process period may be extended under the following conditions:

  1. Unavailability of spare parts. We are unable to contact you for additional information regarding any product faults/defects. Unforeseen software issues that may be required.
  2. When a product requires additional testing/inspection e.g. battery life issues. There is 3-months workmanship warranty on the repairs done through GoRugged will commence once full payment is received.
  3. Please ensure ALL your personal data is backed up before returning your device to us. Your data could be lost/damaged in the repair process.
  4. Make sure you disable/deactivate any security lock/unlock patterns on the device.

Pre-Loved goods Warranty

Pre-loved devices come with a limited 3-month warranty against manufacturer faults, but do not cover damage caused by negligence, misuse, and they are sold “as is”. They have a 7-day return policy following the same process as outlined in Point 10 of the warranty and returns policy. Pre-loved devices can only be exchanged for another device of equal value, are not eligible for discounts or coupons, and follow standard shipping rates
